Copper Enamel Lucky Penny
Copper penny necklace with one side enamelled and the year side copper. You get to choose the number of pendants on your chain, an enamel colour and speckle colour, the year on the penny, if you would like the pendant to be domed in or out and your chain length.
Most years between 1940 and 1996 are available, but I will contact you if I don’t have your chosen year. Unfortunately pennies made after 1996 do not contain enough copper to enamel.
The year will generally show on the maple leaf side so the queen will be enamelled over.
Hangs from a nickel free, copper plated, brass, round, cable chain. Features a small, copper plated, lobster claw style clasp. Comes with copper care directions, a business card and a special impregnated polishing cloth.
Copper will gain character and patina over time due to contact with oils and moisture. Tarnish can easily be removed by dipping the piece in soy sauce or ketchup for a few minutes. Afterwards rinse and dry thoroughly. Polishing cloths provided will remove tarnish as well.
